The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly

Hey dolls, over the weekend I attended a wedding. The bride was gorgeous along with her bridesmaids, but some of the guest have landed their way onto my no-no list. First off, one of the guest seated behind me admitted that Walmart was her favorite store for clothes. Don't get me wrong Walmart is all fine and dandy, but you don't to want admit in public that you love that store. Secondly, the Jersey Shore look may work there, but the overly tan and gel spiked hair is not the style here. Lastly, don't ever show up at a wedding in a 90's style prom dress, where your trying to be that extra bridesmaid in the crowd, you look just plain silly and most of all tacky. Although their may have been a little bad, their was a lot of good. Cute LBD's were all so popular, paired with statement heels. One of my favorite pairs of heels I saw at the wedding were a pair of ruffled turquoise shoes. Aside from the posh outfits, updo's were all the rage, teased with soft curls. All in all, the wedding was great, but the fashionista in me is always on the watch looking to award or bust anyone out of line. How was your weekend, did you see any fashion mess ups?

Your Dress Reflects You!

The way you dress reflect how people view you. This is especially crucial for your dress at the workplace. The way you dress at the workplace affects the respect that you receive. If you want people to perceive you as hard working and successful you must dress this way. The way you dress is going to vary for the place that you work. Even though you may want to express your own personal statement you have to be careful so you don't seem too faddy or over the top. Fad items to avoid are fur vest, ponchos, Capri pants, and bejeweled tops. The way your clothes fit, tells a lot about you. If your clothes are well tailored and fitted it shows that you pay attention to detail and that you care about the way things fit. This displays knowledge, discretion, and etiquette. Clothing that is too tight is offensive and takes aways from the work that you do. You want to capitalize on what you can do without exposing too much skin. Avoid fabrics that are going to wrinkle easy, this gives off a lazy look. Don't ignore your foot ware, flip-flops, spiked heels, and platform shoes are unacceptable. Shoes that shoe dirty toes, barely their flip-flops, men's clogs, basketball shoes, or thongs are among the shoes that are tacky. Stick to conservative style leather shoes in a reasonable heel or a cute flat. Fashionista's demand respect so dress the part and the way that you want to be perceived.
