Fall in LOVE with Fall Fashion

Hello fashionistas!! I know it has certainly been awhile since I have been on here blogging, but I'm sure you dolls know how summer can be....busy. With fall in the air, I'm back and I want to keep you dolls in style!! Here are my 5 favorite fall fashions for a fashionista that I am madly in love with!!

1.Sequence: A few seasons ago sequence was a major no-no, but like the weather fashion trends change with each season. Sequence adds a little glitz and glam to the ordinary. With this trend either wear it minimally by keeping it confined to the neckline of a top or just go all out in full sequence, but never go below the waistline with sequence. Stick with this trend for your nightlife.

2.Lace: The ultimate, effortlessly sexy look. Dress it up, dress it down lace looks great on practically any body type and age genre. Try lace in lighter tones, such as, nude, grey, and pastel pink. Pair with delicate jewelry for a vintage, antique look

3: Zippers:Edgy and sexy meet in the middle! Zippers work best either down the back or the front of a simple shirt. Zippered leggings are another one of my favorites. Don't forget about side zipper skinny jeans and best of all zippered accessories such as purses or boots.

4: Thigh high boots: What is fall without boots? Boots are the ultimate fall must have! Thigh high black leather boot with a wedge are my favorite. Worn over jeans, leggings or a fabulous mini are the best ways to sport these hot boots. If you want to be a little punk rock edgy try shorts worn over tights and your thigh high boots.

5. Bold Jackets: With the chill in the air, brave the elements in a BOLD jacket. By bold I mean full color, chic details, and even faux fur...all of these are considered fashionista bold.

Take these trends to heart fashionista's and you will have a fall to remember full of love and fashion! Xoxo dolls!

Spring Is In The Air and Color Is In My Wardrobe.....

Hey fashionistas, spring is in the air and boy am I ready to preview my spring wardrobe. Grays and blacks were in for winter, but full color is all the rage for spring. Here are six spring colors necessary to incorporate into your wardrobe:

1: Scarlet: Red was once considered a color for the bold and daring, but now its a color for everybody. For daytime use this color for a wrap dress and wedges. For night be bold and sexy in a one shoulder dress. If your not so daring, give your wardrobe a punch, by accessorizing.

2. Blush: This color is perfect for the ultra feminine fashionista. For day pair this shade with neutrals and at night pair with iridescent bright accessories. Lace, chiffon, and suede are perfect fabrics for this shade to create texture. Don't worry this color works for all complexions, giving all skin tones a rosy glow.

3. Acid Yellow: Don't be afraid of this bold and bright spring time color. This color is not meant to distract from your overall look, but liven it up. This shade is even work appropriate, try a dark suit with a sun kissed cami. Olive and dark skinned tones look best in this shade, but fairer skinned fashionistas can try a softer version of this color.

4. Silver: The sassy and lusty cousin of gray is festive and fun for spring. The ultimate evening color, try a shimmery draped mini dress. For work try a subtle cardigan embroidered with a touch of silver pizazz, this adds personality to your work style, but also is very professional. Beware of over doing this shade by piling on extra jewelry, just let the color shine on its own.

5. Lavender: This is the softer side of purple, opposite from the fall shade of purple. This shade is soft and romantic, perfect for ruffles and floral embellishments. A brighter shade of lavender is best for dark skinned fashionistas, and lighter shades of lavender complement those with a fair complexion.

6. Seafoam Green: To refresh earth-toned basics and complement all skin tones, this color is perfect for the job. This color is crisp for the office, such as, a silky blouse and a beige skirt. This color is mostly seen during the day, but if done right it can be great for night life.

So fashionistas spring is in the air and its time to get ready, incorporate one or more of these colors in your wardrobe and you will be fashionista approved!

Hair Trend Alert

You may have thought that fashionista sticks only to fashion, well I'm concerned with all things beauty, besides hair is fashion. So I'm here to update you with one of the latest hair trends, an over grown bob. It takes patience and tolerance to grow out an asymmetrical bob. The grown out bob is great for spring/summer 2010. Who is right for this style? Someone who wants the best of both worlds. This allows you to have the shape of a shorter cut, but you can still wear a ponytail. The asymmetrical look allows a two-inch length difference, that is barely noticeable, but has the appearance that is hasn't been cut in months. Actress Emily Blunt was seen sporty this trendy cut at last weeks Golden Globes. Fashionistas if your in between hairstyles try this one out, it is easy, effortless, and chic!

Going Out and Getting Noticed!

It's getting close to the weekend and I know all you fashionistas will not be stuck at home, you'll be out on the town with all your gals, looking your best. Friday and Saturday are your nights to shine and forget about the stress of the week. What are you going to wear? Besides going out is partly about having fun, but mostly about impressing people! Here is a couple of tips to make your going out experience go well.

DO show a little bit of skin, but not too much leave a little bit to the imagination. Skin gives you attention, but over exposure gets you noticed for the wrong reasons. Choose one body part to flaunt, and show the rest in moderation.

For the fellas, rock a buttoned down collared shirt, this look is simple and classic, never show up with anything metallic on the torso, besides disco is dead.

When it comes to footwear, always wear high heels, flats are for the streets. Heels will get you noticed. For the guys never rock tennis shoes, your not at the athletic club your there to impress, so wear a nice pair of loafers.

As far as bags go don't bring a bag that can fit quadruplets, stick to a clutch that you can keep by your side and carry only the essentials, you don't want to be a prey to theft.

When it comes to dresses as long as your in something flirty and cute, you will look great. Try to stand out from the rest by avoiding LBD's, wear a bold printed dress. Don't worry about standing out too much, being the fashionista that you are you will most likely be standing out above the rest.

Lastly, please wear underwear. Your not Lindsey Lohan or Britney Spears and trust me you don't want to be. So fashionistas have fun going out, look your best, be confident, classy, and fashionable!

Makeup Your Men Hate

Hey fashionistas! I know your all about looking good for your man, this includes not only what you wear, but also your makeup. You may not think your man cares or he may not necessarily give his opinion too easily when it comes to your appearance.

According to men here is a list of makeup turnoffs:
1. Lipstick on the teeth
2. Too much blush
3. Thick caked on foundation
4. Panda Eyes
5. Clumpy mascara
6. Bright lipstick
7.Bright blue eyeshadow..... basically anything neon on the eyes
8. Penciled in eyebrows
9. Amy Whinehouse style eyeliner

Simply put, men want you to look just the way you were made.... naturally beauty. For some of us this means applying a little bit of makeup. For inspiration look to Jennifer Aniston or Sienna Miller. So fashionistas be you and your man is sure to love you the way you are!!

Spring Fever

Good Day Fashionistas! If your like me you no doubt have spring fever, with the sun shiny and the air getting a bit warmer the days of spring will soon be here. Along with warm spring weather comes hot fashion. I have compiled a list of 5 pieces to add to your spring wardrobe.

1. Stripes: For the past few seasons Nautical stripes have been popular and they will continue to be fresh and stylish for spring.

2. Sexy Shorts: aka "Hot pants", get ready to show those great legs you've been working all winter to get. Pair with spiky heels, a flowy top or long blazer. If your a little shy about showing some skin, pair sexy shorts with tights, you will still look fashion forward.

3. Leather Skirt: Leather is the ultimate piece for your 2010 wardrobe. It's sexy and edgy all in one. Sport this look with a graphic tee and funky jewelry, or be classy and wear a shear blouse.

4. Printed/Patterned Pants: This is the new option for pants. Try floral, stripes, graphic prints, bubbly, or skinny style.... anything goes for this crazy trend.

5. Knee High and Over the Knee Socks: Ultimate school girl look accessory. Straight from an episode of Gossip Girl, pair with sexy shorts and heels.

Some of these style may be a little crazy, but taking risks with your fashions makes you the fashionista you are! Stayed tuned for more spring trends fashionistas. xoxo

The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly

Hey dolls, over the weekend I attended a wedding. The bride was gorgeous along with her bridesmaids, but some of the guest have landed their way onto my no-no list. First off, one of the guest seated behind me admitted that Walmart was her favorite store for clothes. Don't get me wrong Walmart is all fine and dandy, but you don't to want admit in public that you love that store. Secondly, the Jersey Shore look may work there, but the overly tan and gel spiked hair is not the style here. Lastly, don't ever show up at a wedding in a 90's style prom dress, where your trying to be that extra bridesmaid in the crowd, you look just plain silly and most of all tacky. Although their may have been a little bad, their was a lot of good. Cute LBD's were all so popular, paired with statement heels. One of my favorite pairs of heels I saw at the wedding were a pair of ruffled turquoise shoes. Aside from the posh outfits, updo's were all the rage, teased with soft curls. All in all, the wedding was great, but the fashionista in me is always on the watch looking to award or bust anyone out of line. How was your weekend, did you see any fashion mess ups?

Ladies Love Lace

If you haven't notice by now lace is one of the new trends sweeping the streets. Lace is no longer just for the bedroom, but lace has become an ultra chic, vintage, and classy fabric seen in a variety of styles. Lace is showing up in accessories, shoes, coats, tops, dresses, and other pieces. Lace is a little edgy with a mix up sultry seduction. Black lace dominates, but other feminine colors such as nude, off white, and pink are being seen more and more. Wearing lace comes with a couple of rules, don't overdo the froufrou wear one thing lace and accessorize minimally. Designers featuring this trend include Prada and Armani on the higher end. For the everyday fashionista Express, H&M, and Forever 21 have made lace a high retail priority. So fashionista don't get lazy with your style, but give this lacey trend a try!
